Luckily when we arrived there was no-one else there so we grabbed a booth and decided what to eat.
Our coffees arrived (latte pictured top) and they were really good! Nothing like a great coffee to start your Sunday! The girl's babycinos arrived at the same time and my 2 year old was soon covered in the small amount of chocolate in the bottom of her cup.
Both my husband and I decided to make the most of our voucher and both ordered the big breakfast. It contained scrambled eggs on toast, sausages, bacon, tomato, mushrooms and baked beans ($22). Even with my girls helping me I couldn't finish it all! I really liked the tomato and mushrooms and the scrambled eggs were nice on a thick slice of toast.
The girls had (besides stealing our food) 2 slices of fruit toast ($6) and the waitress asked them what type of jam they would like with it (they chose triple berry) and it was all eaten quickly except one crust which daughter #1 decided to keep for the drive home.
Soto is located on the corner of Beaufort and Mary St in Highgate. It is all cement floors and bold artwork on the walls. There were 2 staff members on and the girl was lovely and checked that we found everything ok but the guy had a bit of attitude which could be forgiven as he made a great coffee.
Apparently later in the morning on weekends it gets really busy but if you get in early grab the booth seats as it is much easier with the kids plus they have a few ikea highchairs.
I have seen them on deal sites twice this year already so I would definitely recommend grabbing one if you see it come up again, I will!
They are open 7 days a week from 7am until late, 507 Beaufort St, Highgate.
