Catch 22

Heading back from Preston Beach we stopped in a Mandurah for lunch, we headed over to Dolphin Quay to eat and Catch 22 won our business for 2 reasons. #1 they are in the entertainment book with a 25% off voucher and #2 kids eat FREE with any adult purchasing a main meal.

It's in a beautiful spot overlooking the boats and water on the marina surrounded by lots of shops and restaurants and just a short walk from a playground across the footbridge.

As soon as we were seated the girls each had a colour-in menu and chalks to colour them in with thanks to the fantastic service. The kids can choose between nuggets & chips, fish & chips or a bacon & cheese pizza. We usually just let them share but seeing as they were free with our meal we decided on the pizza and the fish.

There is a large selection of pizzas for adults ($26 each or 2 for $50) or a small selection of seafood, meat and vegetarian on the menu. Prices range from $26 to $42.50 for surf n turf.

I went with the baby calamari in main size ($26.50) and my husband picked the fish & chips ($26).

Mine was delicious! The calamari was perfectly cooked, easy to cut and not chewy at all. It came with an asian slaw which was perfect as I didn't want anything to heavy. I loved the capsicum aioli and could've used a little more.

My husbands fish & chips was fantastic! Snapper in a batter with honey and coconut glaze I was tempted to swap! The chips were crunchy and golden without any greasy feel.

The kids meals were great too. J's fish & chips were well cooked and eaten in a flash with just enough (huge) little bowl of tomato sauce. The pizza was well above the usual standard for kids meals, a thick fluffy base my 2 year old could only finish 2 pieces before she was full, 1 more to our 1 year old, 1 to husband and we took 4 slices for the drive home!

With great service, kids eat free and yummy meals we will be back when we pass through Mandurah again.
